Like some others here I want to put some elite ASW units in 1944 I can see the vessels and their waypoints in the44a_Jap_SubHunters.mis and 44b_Jap_SubHunters.mis
files. Which of these files do I edit -or do I edit both. And why is there an 'a' file and a 'b' file? Also when I open the file in the mission editor and save it how do I save it? Open and Save As a Normal Mission? As an Open Layer"? Scripted Layer?. I know how to make a mission but I haven't seen any tutorials on playing with editing the combatants and their waypoints in the Campaign files. _______________________________ I guess Peaboy's post # 4 explains it. Correctomondo? http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=182617 Still and all whay an 'a' file and a 'b' file? Last edited by Tempest555; 08-26-12 at 01:34 AM. |

i think you only view them in mission editor and any changes to the AI files cant be saved there so if you want to make changes you need to open it with windows notepad and edit it that way so it can be saved

I think I sort of answered it here for RSRD, but it works basically the same, just use the path to whatever mod controls your campaign.
If you're using RSRD, just change the crew rating or copy and paste and existing ship if you want to add more to that group. If you build your own groups with the ME, use open normal and save. Lurker hand edited many groups for proper timing, so don't mess with group properties with his groups, mainly TF, battles, etc...groups that need to be at a certain place for historical accuracy. I've added many other subhunter groups roaming the shipping lanes. http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=197563 |
