Question about night sky

Hello

Just wondering if there are any fixes to the night sky and times of heavy fog that get rid of the horrible banding in the sky?

I find it makes the game very ugly even when using such mods as sobers fog and/or the dynamic envrionments mod, as I am currently.

I've read a couple of threads about this problem but haven't found anything definitive yet so I'm wondering if I'm overlooking a proper fix?
