The file you want is called Fanfara_01
Located in
SilentHunterIII\data\Sound

Put any music you want the band to play in that folder and make sure is called Fanfara_01

Iirc, the the band's music is fanfara_01.wav.

It is located in ubisoft\silenthunteriii\data\sound.

The easy way is to change the fle extension on the existing fanfara_01.wav to .bak. Next, get the song you want the band to play in .wav format, copy it to the same folder and rename it fanfara_01.wav.

It should now play just fine.

If I am completely off base here, and it doesn't work, just delete the file you added and return the original file back to fanfara_01.wav.

Edit: Bah, too slow... <grumble grumble grumble>

If you want a random change you can try my Loading Screens mod.
http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/down...o=file&id=2822

It has 100 randomized loading screens and 25 randomized Fanfares, so a different one plays every time you load the game. It requires SH3 Commander, but that's an essential tool anyway. 'Muss I Denn' is one of them, because it's my favorite too.

An alternative is to follow the SH3C Random structure and put in whatever songs you want. If you want to do that I'll be glad to help.

Well, shucks!

Also keep an eye on the leer (game name for the Navigation Chart table). The positions of the maps under the main chart change from several to one to an empty table. This was done by a member whose name is mentioned in the readme, based on my conversion to SH3 of a mod done for SH2. Stock SH3 doesn't have the floor and feet.

Could you plz help me?

I converted and renamed a Mp3 file in an WAV file "Fanfara_01". And I took the other Fanfara_01 file out of the folder in another that i could find it easy if i need it. So I put the "new" Fanfara_01.wav file in the Folder: C:/ Program files / Ubisoft / Silent Hunter 3 / data / Sound/. But if I want to play the game, theres no music!!! Only the people are clapping there Hands and the band makes some pantomime. What can I do to hear it?

The 'Fanfara_01' has to be a .wav file. That controller doesn't recognize mp3s.

There are several good free converters out there. The one off the top of my head is www.goldwave.com.

Also rather than remove the old file the easiest way to keep track of it is to rename it, something like Fanfara_01.wav original.

Okay, you say you converted it. Did you use a converter or just rename it? Check the spelling to make sure it's correct. Is it still in stereo? It may have to be mono. Beyond that I have no idea without actually seeing the file myself.

Hi slam1977,

you must convert the soud file into a MONO Wav. SH3 doesn't like STEREO files .

Greetings
