Default New ubisoft launcher giving me issues.

I have OH and everything was working well. Then we just got the new launcher update a few days ago, now the game won't save where I left off. Meaning I save the game before quiting, then the next day I play it I'm back almost to the begining of the mission. What the heck is going on? Can't Ubisoft get anything right?

Anyone else hates this new launcher?

I also have issues with the new uplay update. It tells me I have to install the game even though it is installed, also with several mods. What a pain! Anyone else have this problem? And is the only solutition to reinstall everything all over?

Other than annoyance from its "wannabe-Steam" approach, I see nor experience nothing forcing such drastic actions. i suspect the poster prior to either has a corrupted installation or a product registration issue. There is no reason to consider such an action unless you are experiencing problems.

For me the patch updated the launcher
The launcher then wanted my password and told me to untick offline mode - all ok so far.
It then wanted my install key - so I dug out my disc and typed it in.
It then told me "your key in use"

To fix - I just went to setting and re-ticked offline mode - all working ok now

I hate the darn thing. It tells me I need to sign in online but doesn't give me an option to do so. Trying to get it worked out with Ubisoft. In the meantime, I can't play SH5 which I've bought and paid for.

Yes, Yes, Yes!!
My computer was in the shop when the update came out, so I didn't have a clue as to what was going on. I sent a reply in another thread when I saw the launcher in subsim forums and thought I had to go and get the launcher. When I got my computer back yesterday I thought the techs had wiped the install data. I had all sorts of trouble with getting my password entered correctly (for some reason, I don't usually) and then I had to log in at least three times online before that one kicked in. So, Trouble?? Yeah, it was a big hassle. Luckely it finally worked out before I started the phone calls to UBISOFT and my Computer company.
All's well today.
