Default R.I.P Eric Sykes

Another British comedy legend has gone.

Apart from comedy I will remember when he starred in the Sherlock Holmes episode The Six Napoleon's and fitting in as the gardener in the film The Others.

Along with Spike, Galton and Simpson, Johnny Speight, and the other members of Associated London Scripts, he revolutionised British comedy. Without Eric and Spike and the others, we would never have had the likes of Monty Python and hundreds of other famous acts.

One of the true greats of post-war comedy.

RIP Eric.
