Patching problems

I was going to install a super mod (GWX), but it said I had to patch to 1.4. I downloaded the patch but when I tried to install, I got a message that said the 'de_menu.txt' could not be recognized. Now what?

What kind of SH3 Copy did you get?

physical DVD - Digital copy or such?

Then you don't need patching.

But you can test it:
Go to the SH3 folder and find the Setup.exe;
Right-click it and go to properties; go to the Details Tab.
It should read product version 1.4.000 or 1.4001 or such.

But did you run SH3 at least once, before installing GWX?
