Default Getting Sub to ride lower?

Hi all,

After modernizing my mod list, I had the get rid of UHS since apparently it is not compatible and a lot of its features are covered by other mods. However, one thing I have noticed is missing now, is that before, my sub would ride in the water so that the pressure hull would not go above the water. Now however, I feel as if the sub rides too high in the water.

For example, before in stormy seas, whenever the sub was pitching, its torpedo tubes would never breach the surface, now I can have all of them (top and bottom tubes) broach the surface...

Is there a mod out there that fixes how high the sub sits in the water? If not, what settings can I change to do this?

Hi Krauter!

I could be wrong but try to look there Data\Submarine\NSS_UboatX\NSS_UboatX.cfg (X - is sub model 7a, 7b etc.)
Find the line SurfaceDepth=
I think this is what you need.

if its the same as sh3&4 look inside the submarine folder is the different subs, open the folder for the sub you need to adjust and use s3d to open its sim folder.

in the sim folder there is a submerged draft and a surface draft, you want to adjust the surface draft.

after doing this the periscope height often needs adjusting so you open the cfg file in there as well and change the periscope depth there.

Don't lower it too much in the water or you'll have problems of it trying to switch to battery operation in heavy waves

I know. I don't want to adjust it so much that I'm decks awash all the time, just maybe half a meter or so.
