I believe it is percent of damage. As you repair it goes down until fixed. If the red is all the way to the top that piece of equipment is destroyed and unrepairable.

ok thanks.

I cant seem to ever get my bulkheads repaired , there is a small red line to the right that says 0.33 . i put a team in damage control (they are on battle stations) and sit there for days and it doesnt change.

in fact, im playing right now and nothing is being fixed , soe of the items have very faint red lines so must have minimal damage, ive also noticed some of the team in DC are going to sleep!?

Is there somethign im missing here?

I believe the "bulkhead damage" represents hull damage and is thus not repairable. This may not be the same with all mods, though.

You need to place the bulkheads at the top of the repair order to be fixed first. When I suffer damage you have to place a good high quality officer in the first slot of the damage control team. Your want saliors that have high mechanical abilites and also high electrical abilites. You want the green bar as full as you can get it. If you keep you crew at battle stations for long periods of time they will suffer by losing performace and eventually fall asleep. You can work your damage control team without being at battle stations. When set up repairs the one at the top of the list is repaired first by the team. Pumps and bulkheads first, then other repairs as necessary. Some things can only be repaired on surface. It takes time to repair so give it time and you may have to rest members of the team and replce them with others as they tire out. Best of luck it takes time but you will figure it out.

I might be stating the obvious, but make sure you are not on silent running as I understand that halts all repair and torpedo reloading.

Yes, that is correct. If you are running silent, all noise is suppressed, except that which is absolutely necessary for operating the boat to keep it going. Repairs, pumps, fans, anything that can generate excess noise is halted.

thanks for the replies everyone , Im not sure if it was a glitch or not , but I havent seen that problem since.

I have started new careers and my bulkheads seem to be repairable , Ive also noticed that some things cant be repaired unless something else is fixed

I now know that pumps need to be workijgn for flooding to go away

I do have other items that wont repair , but I assume they are maybe unrepairable, like attack periscopes, listening gear ..

defo not in silent running , learnt that lesson in Sh3...
