SH5 Odd Fog Effects and other MOD queries
Okay, so, I'm fairly new to modding this game, so far Magnum Opus has been a spectacular update. I realise its a bunch of other
mods packaged, but it spectacularly enhances his half baked title into something that I want to play... lots. So, heres what I'm running: Raf Bomber Radio Raf Fighter Radio Magnum Opus Patch 2 NewUIs_TDC_6_9_0_ByTheDarkWraith NewUIs_TDC_6_9_0_Das_Boot U-Boat Ballast Tanks SFX Window_Lights_Redone_V1 German U-Boat Hydrophone SFX IO_StrategicMap_4_6_for_TDWv690 now, here are my compaints/questions regarding the current state: 1. Is there a later update for Environment 5, since a few of my sequential questions are probably going to reference this, and I believe that is packed into Magnum Opus which is giving me some of my graphics issues, but I can't find any updates here for it, and I love the specular light and sun/moon effects. 2. Super red fog glows: see images. Looks weird and stupid, like a plane of red. Is there a work around for that at this stage? Clearly this is a bug where the red glow of the fires of burning boats are causing red outs all over the place. ![]() http://i.imgur.com/65kEK.jpg ![]() http://i.imgur.com/9tJf0.jpg 3. Have the standing oil patches been fixed? I've noticed those a few times now and they sort of look like smoke at first. Don't have a pic right now. 4. Underwater looks spectacularly green sometimes. Is there a way to back the glow or brightness off a bit? I like the HDR light beams underwater, but I'd like to back off the green glow a bit, both at day and night. I would also the green pushed back to the original game colour... maybe a little greener, but this game is over the top. The under water right now is quite literally three times or more lighter than above the water. See here for an example: ![]() http://i.imgur.com/gvaD0.jpg 5. The dive button with this pack seems to dive until compression. Shouldn't the crash dive button dive until compression and the regular dive balance out at about 50m? I understand there is a manual depth set with CTRL, but if you don't have your eye on the depth, the men don't start panicking like I would expect to give an audio queue (actually. RIGHT THERE: This is my MAIN COMPLAINT about this entire game. Sure, give me crew I have to talk to, thats fine. Make it a bit RPG with their levelling, thats cool. But have a flooding sub due to depth compression and not have them angst and freak out, rock back and forth; sacrilege! All around, NPCs in this game don't panic and freak out nearly as much as the game is worth. If there are any keen modders for this left; pay attention: Make a MOD that gets the crew to freak out and tell the captain that hes gone all 'crazy'. Make this game what it should be. As an added bonus, English ships should have NPCs going crazy when their ships are sinking or detecting your sub and possibly 911 style off the side of the ship) So, thats my question, sorry if I have offended anyone because I really appreciate the work that has been done already. |
