Default Torpedos hitting lifeboats?

I am just wondering if this has happend to anyone else. I set a MK14 to shallow as possible, and with the aid of the waves it slammed into a lifeboat before it reached the intended target. It made me very sad. It also left me wondering, because this only happend once in my many hours of SH, if it was just a lucky premature

Dont know if mods affect anything, but Im using RFB + RSRDC

I suppose the large lifeboats have some draft, a shallow torpedo could prob hit it.I am sure it decimated the boat or wouldve in real life.

Yes. 25,000 Reichsmarks. A currency declared obsolete in 1948. So all German torpedoes are free.

I think you have to talk to either Tom Petty or Admiral Farragut. I'm not sure which.

Lifeboat filled witho sumo wrestlers? That sound utterly terrifying. Just like shallow water task forces D:

Hey, wait a minute, I thought that album cover was supposed to be red. Oh well, either way, if they were sumo wrestlers in that lifeboat, they may very well have to "live like a refugee". Good thing it wasn't a rubber raft, at least the LB counts as a 1 ton kill.

i usually use the AA gun on them, figured to save them the misery of weeks at sea only to end up eating eachother (since i cant capture them)

i have tho torpedoed a rather large float plane in a harbor on a recon mission once and on impact it blew about 2000 ft into the air spinning at a ridiculous rate and landed a 1/4 mile or so inland... with no mods...
first time i had the inclination to mod this great game lol....

That does have a sort of a "roleplay" side of it, but it is irrelevant considering that the game does not compute a sunken raft for anything except a mark on your map. When i stared playing this game, i often wondered if survivors left alone could reveal my position if recovered soon afterwards... but no, game mechanics do not contemplate that.

Still, they are valid targets and are not just graphic ghosts. So if they can be hit by any of your guns, I suppose they can also trigger a torpedo. But I have never seen that happen... I think you won a lotery ticked. Even if 25.000-worth of outdated currency, as the guys are mentioning...

I once shot a mine with a torp, blew it up nicely, but never tried a lifeboat..

And a cutie? Do you guys figure it possible, game-wise I mean, to hit a cutie with a torp?
