Default Gulf of Aden - Off the Map questions

Hello again. Yet another question for the wise Kaleuns of this board.

Are there ships off of the grid system in this game? I'd love to take a long-range boat up to the Gulf of Aden (even though it would take a while) and see if I couldn't seek out the convoys of tankers that would be coming out of the Middle East.

That and I'm thinking I might take a detour to get some penguins for the crew next time I'm in the South Atlantic.

If you were playing GWX you would need to enable the Indian Ocean campaign file.

I'm running the base game for my first playthrough, but thanks for the info!

I did the same. But after you get bored with stock after your third patrol, install a supermod. Totally differetn game.
