Torpedo Door malfunction.

Greetings, I was getting on well in my career but had a continual recurring problem with my torp doors. I found this out the hard way when trying to fire successive torps and couldn't understand why I was getting such big delays.
When I start to set my Torp firing data I set target range bearing and speed then press 'Q' to open the doors. This works fine But when I then move on to the next torp when I press 'Q' the door opens but the first door closes. I only seem to be able to have one door open at a time. I confirmed this with the outside camera. However if I select 'Salvo' all the selected doors will open!
I getover the problem by using my thumb on the 'Y' and little finger on the 'Q' a quick rock of the hand and presto door open torp goes away.

Suffice to say that this and another problem induced me to completly uninstall SH3, SH3Cdr and GWX3. I cleared all my files and reinstalled everything again with no additional mods. The problem is still with me. Can any one throw some light on this one?

Hi Telemon. The best way around this is to manually open the doors yourself. Right click on the Weapons Officer or his icon then open or close any of the doors. The controls for this are just above the TDC at his station. The row of green lights. They are also in the conning tower beside the TDC. Hold mouse arrow on switch and left click.

Also you can open the doors by going to the conning tower. Rather than use F3 to get to the attack periscope go to the tower, then click on the 'scope. You'll be sitting in the seat but not looking through the eyepiece. Look down and you'll see a second set of switches.
