Pacific Battles - Turn Based Naval Game

A turn based strategy game.
MACH Games likes to welcome you to participate in the development of Pacific Battles. With this first tech demo we want to show the game play and handling of Pacific Battles.

The current A.I. is only in a draft mode and doesn't act "intelligent" at all. There will be some more development for a real A.I. which will take some time. The formation of the ships represents the tournament mode which will be used for an online ranking list at machgames.de

Its a pure indie game with subs

A little update of Pacific Battles from the lead programmer Martin.

Current feedback and what will be changed/added:

So far we've got already some nice feedback/balancing which I want to summarize here.

Movement

Submarine can move "through" other ships (just dive)
Destroyer will move in 8 directions (additionally diagonal)
Battleship and heavy Cruiser will move only 1 field per turn
Light cruiser will get an attack range of 1
Patrol boat will get a move range of 3

Damage modifications

The following attack combinations will make 100% damage:

Carrier against destroyer, heavy cruiser, light cruiser
Battleship against carrier, battleship, heavy cruiser and light cruiser
Heavy cruiser against light cruiser, battleship, carrier and destroyer
Light cruiser against destroyer and patrol boat
Destroyer against submarine and patrol boat
Submarine against carrier, battleship, heavy cruiser and light cruiser
Patrol boat against submarine and carrier

All other constellations have a modifier of -50% for attacking.

Changes from the first beta:

There is now some kind of a real AI even though it's still beatable of course.
There are sounds.
Other feedback has been implemented.
