Default Anybody Seen These?

I'm pleased to report I've sighted nearly every type of enemy ship and merchant in SH4 by now, but there are still a few that elude me. The four I'm most interested in finding are:

Troop Transport
Submarine Tender
Minesweeper
Minelayer

Anyone ever seen these? Can anyone give me an idea where I might find them? Is the TT and ST just Allied, or does Japan have them as well? I've sighted several convoys that you'd think would include TTs, but no such luck thus far.

If you are playing the stock game you can see them in the museum. If you are playing a super mod some ships may be added.
In stock they used ocean liners for troops and I think one smaller one. There was a seaplane tender, I don't think there was specifically a sub tender. There was a minesweeper and minelayer.

I'm playing the stock game and have viewed these vessels in the museum...I'm just wondering if anyone's ever found them in the game.

I don't remember seeing a minelayer but I have seen all the other ones, but no specific locations.

I constantly sink large minelayers in TMO, see smaller ones a lot too but their not worth the torpedoes.

I have seen them all, mostly around Philippines.

The reason you don't see the Troop ships and submarine tenders is that there weren't very many of them. Cargo vessels probably outnumbered passinger/troop ships at least 6 to 1, and were too valuble to be risked carrying cargo, but cargo vessels were often used to transport troops. The small number of sub tenders would spend most of their time at base, so you would not be likely to see them. Some of the minelayers/sweepers were used as improvised escorts, so they might be encountered more often.

No, most of my convoys are escorted entirely by DDs...you'd think some of the smaller convoys would have subchasers escorting them, but no, I've only seen subchasers at sea either alone or with a single DD...any other time they're anchored in port.

Truk's not even on my map! I get 'Patrol off the Caroline Islands', but Truk itself isn't marked. If it was, I'd have hit it every time!
