I appreciate the heads-up for the sake of others, but I've always felt that any movie worth talking about is worth owning.

Sailor Steve was the one who recommended on the forums this book. I picked up a copy. Read it twice! Movie is great as well.

Very good film, very good book, just could've expanded on the Arctic route a little more instead of the love story.

Snorkers, good oh!

Since I've never heard of that book , I assume he was talking about The Cruel Sea.

[edit] Okay, I've read the reviews, and this is a retitled Monsarrat at Sea, which I read in the library and of which I now own a hardcover copy.

Corvette k225 was a movie, I have only seen on TV back sometime around
1994 on AMC. I recorded it on DVD from AMC when it was on at that time.Check
it out at imdb. It was made in Canada in 1943.I think it was a great movie.
