Default U-Boat Leader Game

Cool single player board game, but expensive!

I want to get it and play it.

I have it, and love it!
A short campaign takes about 60 minutes.

For people that don't know, DVG designes single player board games.

Yeah I saw there was a short, medium and long campaign. How long does the long one take? How much did you pay for yours?

I want Steel Wolves!!

If anyone fancies buying it me cos their very generous and very rich then I suppose you can do, if it makes you happy.

Seriously, GMT have another Solo Sub game coming out called The Hunters..similar to the old B17 solo boardgame.

Default Steel Wolves

I've bought SW, U-Boat Leader, and Silent War. All are solitaire sub games, table-top games. UB Leader lets you command a flotilla, five or six boats. The other two let you command all subs that sailed. Silent War is the Pacific and Steel Wolves is the Atlantic. Monster games.

If I play Steel Wolves as they indicate in the manual, it should take me about 10 years to resolve the whole war. Yikes!

I recently bought a whole mess of WW2 board games to reflect all the major battles and events. I may never look up again!

I bought it through NWS Online for $35 US, here is their link:
http://yhst-12000246778232.stores.yahoo.net/dvggase.htm

I recommend getting their counter trays also, Uboat Leader has over 150 counters that you will need to have organized.

A shot campaign is 1 patrol, medium is 2, and long is 4. A patrol is from when a sub leaves port to when it returns. So 1 patrol can be 3 rounds.

I haven't played a long campaign yet, my last medium took 2 hours. So I'd say a long will take about 4 hours.

Did you know we have a forum dedicated to games that are not Silent Hunter?
http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/forumdisplay.php?f=177

It would by nice if people didn't tie up the SH3 forum with unrelated posts.

We'll make sure that they are made aware of that down in SH3.

Anyway, moved to General Games. Enjoy.
