Want to Learn to mod Silent Hunter 4

I want to learn how to do this one might be really and 2 so many mods that's "listed" is filled dead links lol gets tiring after a while so I want to build my own subs and all. So would like good videos or something or manuals

The ability to mod a particular game depends a LOT on which version of SH IV you have and want to mod.

The most mods and the best mods are for the 1.5 version (also called Gold Edition and or U Boat Missions Add-on).

There is also an INDISPENSABLE tool called JSGME ( http://www.users.on.net/~jscones/software/products-jsgme.html ) which will allow the mods to be added to a stock game (of whatever vintage) and keep them in order so you can "Un-Mod" the game or rearrange the order of the mods in the future.

The Un-Modding function is VERY important to return the stock game to stock. Otherwise you end up with Modder's soup ... and need to re install the game.

This board has all of the big and small mods in the down load section.

Make sure the mod is compatible with your version of the game.

i have the one gold version, I wrote my thread wrong sorry what I meant I want learn how to make mods, sorry for the confusion. I have JSGME installed and currently playing with the Bismark...that is a fun ship, want to make a better ship more guns and stuff and better subs that suits me lol
