Mouse Cursor Bug... Can't Click To Move Camera

Hi All,

While I was playing my career I came across a lone warship and got the pop-up box "Warship Spotted". I think something happened when I clicked it and changed to another screen because no matter where I placed the mouse on the screen as soon as I clicked (so I could move the camera around) the mouse would teleport to the center of the screen. I clicked all over and every time it would go to the center of the screen, like the pop-up box was invisible or something and it kept defaulting back to it. Anyway I saved the game and exited then reloaded the save and now every time I load the save it crashes after "Initializing". After trying multiple times I then loaded the previous save I created before the problem happened and it still crashes... What gives? Anyone else had a problem like this?

Never heard of that one, but because you saved near another ship, that save is corrupt. Hopefully you have been saving at regular intervals.

I have saved many times next to ships and it never caused a corrupt save for me.

It's a known bug that is not consistent.

One of the problems that may have slipped by you is that when you reload the ships lose their waypoints. At sea this is not a problem, but I've saved before making the journey into port, and later loaded the game to find ships running aground and into each other. Sometimes it happens, sometimes it doesn't.

Hi Sailor Steve,

Yeah I know of that issue, but not of it corrupting saves... Still, I reloaded the save I created before this even happened and it still causes the game to crash which I find very confusing. I don't know how this strange camera bug could of changed something with the game to cause it to crash when I load the previous save file, it doesn't make any sense. I found out doing a single player mission works just fine, seems to only be a problem with my career. I have one more save I can load to see it that works, but something tells me if the other one I just loaded didn't, then this one wont either. As a last resort I could try reloading the save while in base before mission and redo the patrol, but that would suck.

hmm...that is weird. Sorry I got lost on a tangent. I have no idea what would cause that.

Well I loaded the 3rd save file and luckily that one worked! However something is still strange with the game. When I loaded the save file and got ingame I created 3 more extra save files (since I was having problems with those previous saves). When I tried to load the most current save file of the three it crashed, so I loaded the one before it which worked. It seems something else is causing saves to be "unstable" and it is not related to the camera issue I was having. In fear of the saves not working, I created 6 or 7 different saves for that patrol and then continued to play until the patrol was complete and I was back in port. Now usually when you are in port you can add/change most mods with the game and it won't cause the career to crash so I figured the next patrol might cure my issue. That said, I did not add or change anything, I kept everything the same as the previous patrol, and now when I try to start the next patrol the game crashes... I am unsure if this is a driver issue, or an issue with a previously installed mod, or if the game itself is bugged. I am a little surprised the game crashed at the start of the next patrol....
