Default downloads is damaged or unknown format.

99% of my downloads are appearing error messages saying that lack of compatibility or damaged files. have something I need to repair that? this happens before opening ... when i click to extract.

sorry to bother with this kind of question.

Need more info....

What files have you downloaded?
And what are you trying to open these files with?

E.g. files i downloaded are TDW UI's and i open them with winzip, extract to my desktop and put file manualy into my SH5 mod folder. had no problems.

most times this is because you are trying to open a 7zip compressed file using winrar which for some reason has compatability issues when opening 7zip files

download 7zip, it will unzip all files winzip and winrar as well and it is a small open source utility that is free

you may also be having issues with filefront which has been going spastic lately so it may just be your download site

Or run scandisc. Corrupt files are quite common if your filesystem has errors.

Default System?

What operating system do you have?

Few downloads are not compressed. (Winzip, winrar, 7zip) You have to install those programs before you can uncompress the files.

Instead of double-clicking a download in windows system, right-click it and choose open with. That should give you a small list of options for programs you have installed.

Default Download ui TheDarkWraith_6_9_0

Hi

I cannot find it. There was a download I tried but it was a partial download and not a true zip download.

Thanks
Ken

Did you try and d/l from the Downloads section? I had problems using my download manager (FlashGet) for files from this site, used to only get the PHP file. Got round it by using Windows default "Save file" instead, that worked fine. Had no such problems with files from other download sites (Filefront etc).

You can download 7z files even if you have RAR all you have to do is take the 7z and rename it rar.
