Don't forget the spin off.

http://unpopularopinionrickperry.tumblr.com/

The most hilarious part I think was at the end where he goes "I'm Rick Perry and I endorse this message" endorsing the things you say. Interesting.

I'm pretty sure he destroyed any chance of ever being elected with that ad.

I'm Rilder and I endorse this post.

Ughh, is that real? or a parody? Please tell me it's a parody and not real.

The ratio is worse than the Rebecca black video!

But.....but......I was assured by numerous people, many of whom are on this forum, that the 'new' Republican party wasn't interested in social conservatism; that they've 'changed'. They've 'learned their lesson'. This whole thing couldn't have been a sham, could it?

Could it?

I think it's the waving and grinning that really makes the "disclaimer" perfect.

Ever since I watched my first American campaign spot I am always astonished about the amount of cheesiness.

Btw: what's with this "This message was approved by..." stuff? Don't know when it started to come up. Is there a legal reason for it?
Why would someone say: "I approve my own message (that I said just seconds before)" like Perry did in this spot?

I was going to say "Make that 427,945 dislikes", but it's already up over 428,000, so I'll never catch up. On the other hand, the 'Likes' are up over 10,000, so there are more who like it as well. Of course the ratio is still about the same.

I'm not sure what planet Perry is on. I'm not sure what planet the writers for the parody are on either. What can we say about the governing body we fondly know as Congress?

I think that is appropriate when the ad was made by a supporting group, and doesn't feature the candidate himself. When he's the only person in the ad it is kind of silly.
