Default Räikkönen to return to Formula One

Former world champion Kimi Raikkonen will return to Formula 1 next season after signing a two-year deal with Lotus Renault GP.
The 32-year-old Finn left Formula 1 at the end of 2009 to pursue a career in rallying.
"My hunger for F1 has recently become overwhelming," said Raikkonen. "It was an easy choice to return with Lotus Renault GP."
Raikkonen's new team will be known as Lotus F1 Team from 2012.
Looking forward to his return in 2012
I found him always fun to watch during the races.

Been some crap here too. Channel MTV3 has been airing F1 since 1994, free to watch.
In 2007 they made the most idiotic decision they have ever made and switched
F1 over to one of their pay-to-view channels.

F1 needs to have standardised cars, rather than two or three teams having technical superiority over the rest of the field. I'm tired of seeing Red Bull/McLaren/Ferrari win because they've got the big budgets for racing.

That said, Kimi coming back will be interesting. He's rather volatile when he gets annoyed.

A1 Grand Prix? or that one with Soccer Teams as teamnames
and how popular is that? Not at all.

Apart that people root for a driver in Formular One people also pick their teams because of the technical race in the background if you standarize that you pretty much death sentence Formula One and will drop in popularity fast

and it has always been 4 maybe 5 teams that where duking it out in the top 10 so nothing has changed really. What I don't like over the last few years is how technical gadgets installed on the car does more work for the driver then the driver has to work to stay on top and ofcourse the stupid game rules FIA comes up with like the Tire rule (let the driver pick what they want to put under their car) Kers (remove it) the rear wing (let them open whenever they want) and less political nonesense in case of a racing incident Like Senna puts it that a racer takes his chance when he sees one because if he doesn't he isn't a racer.
