Default Weather Patterns

So,BdU has sent me for the first time to operate off the Western Coast of Spain, and it has been absolutely lovely weather compared to the dreary North Sea. Almost... too lovely. For 10 days straight it has been minimal clouds and very calm sea's,something I'm not used to. It's also December 12 in game currently.

Was just kind of curious if this weather is a fluke or perfectly normal for this region of the Atlantic? Thanks!

Neither. What it is, is perfectly normal for SH3. The weather can get randomly better or worse, but once it reachese either extreme it tends to stay there for great lengths of time.

Whatever the weather is when you save and exit, you can usually count on it being that for a day or two when you load that save. Ten good days in a row is unusual but, not out of the question for SH3.

consider yourself very lucky to get that weather. i would say that you only get good weather in this game for a max of 4 days or so then it turns sour. i try to save abit more when weather is good to keep it going that bit longer

Last patrol lasted 7 months because I couldn't find anything....turns out the save was bugged. I am using the GWX3 mod and the weather changes about every 10-12 days. So about a bi-weekly basis.

Good Luck.

It ended up being a pretty nice patrol actually. Almost 30K Tonnage sunk before heading home due to diesel levels. Only wish the weather could have followed into my next patrol.....

Stupid North Sea and your nasty weather
