I’m getting an error message when I try to reinstall SH III. The message is as follows:
“Error 1335. The cabinet file “Data 1.cab” required for this installation is corrupt and cannot be used. This could indicate a network error, an error reading the CD-ROM, or a problem with this package. “ I’m not on a network and I’ve cleaned the CD-ROM. Has anyone had this problem or know how to fix it short of buying a new CD? Please help. |

It sounds like a disk issue, but I'd check to see if the drive can read something else to make sure it's not hardware related.
How's the disk look? Any scratches? If so how deep? If they're just surface you can check out this page for tips on how to do homemade scratch removal: http://www.ehow.com/how_4898880_make...h-remover.html Good luck! ![]()

Thanks for getting back to me on this. I finally ended up getting a "blue screen of death" and had to reprogram the system. Thanks again.
