Question i have is yesterday i was 1500 M away from two ships and my hydro phone guy never called him out. only reason i knew he was there was because on my map i have there sonor cone turned on, so i saw it.
But as soon as i told him to follow nearest contact then bam he started following him. I have the SH5.exe patch installed, and i am wandering if maybe that is causing it. Or could it be because i have MO installed. I think there is a mod in MO called Hydro fix, so could i be messing it up now that i have done the SH5.exe fix. Only other thing i can think of is that i was running at 128 time compression up till the point that i saw him, but even then after i dropped down to 1 he never once called out. Anyone know if MO and SH5.exe wouldnt be compatable in the sence that it has that hydrophone fix in it? |

SH5.exe and MO are compatible.
Some hydrophones have blind spots from 350°R to 10°R and 160°R to 200°R. If you are operating the hydrophone yourself the hydrophone guy is almost always deaf (there a some exceptions). If the engines are at a high RPM the hydrophone guy is allmost always deaf (there a some exceptions). If you are surfaced and have installed TDW's no-hydrophone on surface-mod hydrophones doesn't work. |

Do you have any other mods enabled? I had some problems with the second hydrophone upgrade with some equiptment mods, I couldn't hear anything when entering the hydrostation manually. Also, if ships are travelling with low speed (5-6 knots) you can't hear them. But currently my hydro is working well and most of the time I can hear the ships allright.

Na i read the post on not being able to hear them yourself. That i dont have a problem with, its the opposite to that. I can hear them just fine, my sonar guy on the other had does not.
So unless i am sitting there listening myself i will never know there is a boat out there. May as well just fire him LOL...if i have to do the work for him. As far as for the blind spot, couldnt have been that because when i did tell him to start following the contact was on a bearing of 300. so he was like 10 oclock to the front of my boat. I am going to test somethings today with just TDW mod only, nothing else other then the SH5.exe and see how they do. |

Well it appears my sonar man works like he should with just TDW's ui only installed. So it has to be one of the other ones. Because soon as i put the others back in, he went back to being stupid again...Below is what i have installed.
