Default RSRD + TMO

From what I've heard here, both mods can be enabled together. What I ask is: a) to what advantages, and b) is there a correct enabling order, or anything will do?

Yup, there is a version of RSRDC that works with TMO. Ducimus is a guy with focus on the boat and enemy AI behavior. He had done some elementary work straightening out the traffic patterns of the game but wasn't all that all-encompassing about it because that is just as big a problem as working out the submarine and enemy AI.

Lurker had a fascination with historical shipping and warship dispositions in the real war. He worked with the mission editor to make all traffic in the game correspond to actual dispositions in the real war, as much as possible. Had he confined himself to that, everything would have been great.

However, Lurker had compulsive tweak disorder and expanded his role to include enemy AI, new ship types and other areas outside the realm of a campaign mod. RSRD became an alternative supermod without the fine tweaking of submarine and enemy AI that Ducimus brought to the table.

At that point I quit using RSRD for awhile because I'll give up anything for the gameplay that Ducimus brings to the table. I may not especially like it but that's the long and the short of it.

With the latest versions of TMO 2.2 and RSRD v502 they reached a much better cooperation and the two again are a good team. You have to make sure to use RSRD v502 for TMO 2.2.

Here's the load order to get the latest versions:

Got it. RSRDC_TMO_V502 plus V5xx_patch one, all on top of TMO 2.2.

Great! I'll try it out. Thanks a lot.

I am guessing you can find them all in the download page, right? The main ones were there anyway.

I used to not care for RSRD and there are a few things Id like to change but its a great mod and I have found I dislike playing without it.I like the historical traffic, esp for the fleet movements at the big battles as they are at the right place and time usually, added on with TMO its just difficult to beat.

It's a ton of fun, a convoy full of armed merchants and a couple of gunships just to make it spicy! A convoy full of armed merchants can outshoot you any day of the week and then the gunboats barge in. It can get messy!

This thing is set off the sunny shores of California near Catalina island, just like the Dick O'Kane test mission. When you hit the first ship with a torpedo and they all go crazy it's too much fun!

I've been playing it for just a little while, and I already like it. RSRD gave that extra real-life surroundings and companions that TMO was needing. My first campaing mission was simply "go to convoy college and report", and everything is happening before I even get there!
