Child ran over twice, ignored..China

If you watch the first clip with China news it shows the entire event, young female child ran over twice then ignored by passing public. I say she was run over 3 times, the first driver ran over her, stopped, then moved on running over her again with back tires. The second truck may not have seen her.

That is horrible. What does this say about society? Some totally engrossed in their own pitiful lives or just do not want to get involved. Sad, very sad.

I wondered when this would surface...surprised Vendor hasn't already posted on it...it's sickening really...but not entirely surprising given the area and the sex of the child.

Odd. You would think in a country where almost everyone is only allowed one child, people would be freaking out. But maybe compassion is reserved only for one's own.

There is much violence in society, and unfortunately it affects the children, and I saw not just this, when I was in an ongoing case, but this is unfortunately one of many sick and sad events that occur.

I'd heard about this footage, and given my internet-trawling years didn't think it'd break my hardened exterior, but I have, as a father to a three year old girl, a tear or two rolling down my cheeks! It's a good job I work in office alone! That is the most sickening, saddest sight I've seen.

Shocking enough that both initial drivers hit the child, then the passers-by just staring/ignoring, but then the first one to attend sits the child up only to slump down again - twice!

Someone came in office, but salty-water gone just in time - phew!

That is just unspeakable, but its a proper reality check for us Europeans and Americans, we do complain alot about our own societies, but my god we have it good compared to so many places on earth were life is considered 'cheap' by so many.

Maybe compassion gets lowered when many people live so crowded together, I wouldn't say that this couldn't happen in Western big cities too.

Not surprising
as there were similar incidents before, people tried to get hit on purpose, than they sued the drivers

People even say that by killing someone in an accident you get a "better deal" than injuring them. Since if they are disabled, they will sure you for every cent you have, but if they are dead, than the settlement would be calculated by a standard Chinese court algorithm.
