Default New to SH3

Hi there mates, despite being playing sh2 for a while i'm new to sh3 world. i know i've a dumb question here; i've downloaded some good mod stuff(ships) for the game. So here is the question: are there any vessels other than submarines(such as destroyers, merchants) playable for this game? I'm asking this because in SH2 there was a s38/s100 schnellboot mod which was controllable. I really wanted to know if this is possible before installing any more stuff into the game. Thanks.

Welcome to Subsim Aarowa.

I've never used any but I believe there are mods available.

If you go to the downloads section you'll find Schnellbootes and warships that are human playable.

Welcome

oh thanks, i've downloaded some of them but there's no instruction how to use them(or if they are controllable) so the only way to use them is assigning them as human player ships via mission editor by making new scenarios, am i right?

No doesnt work that way
The ships in the download section under ships are extra AI controlled units

You will need to look for playable surface units such as

S boot mod
