favorite scene

it is often asked, "whats your favorite film then" . I suppose we all have our favored films, I recently picked up a copy of "On the Waterfront" a great movie that I had not seen in many years. I watched once again as Marlon sat in the back of the car with his brother and proclaimed "I could have been a contender", great stuff.

This got me thinking what is my favorite scene in a movie.

after all a good one good scene can and often does make the film work.

for this ole softee it has to be (don't laugh) Julia Roberts playing opposite Hugh Grant in "Nottinghill" . the scene where she walks into his shop and says "I'm just a girl, asking a boy to love her".

I love this scene.

The start in Saving Private Ryan the moment they are in the boat heading to the beach to making their way to cover. Still gives me goose bumps whenever I watch that part.
