Hi everyboday,

Does someone know if there is a .cfg file where you can change the ammo amount of the deck guns and their reloading times ?

Your help would be nice !!!

I dont think they are in any cfg files. My guess is that they are scripted.

Normaly under sh3 and 4 they are in the sim file that is located in the data/library/GerSubParts or USSubParts folder but the devs have removed thos folders.

I searched yesterday also for thos files but could not find them.

Guns' .sim files are in data/Objects/Guns folder.

Open the GR2 file for the 88mm into GoblinEditor (Data/Objests/Guns)
Then merge in the 88mm Sim file.
You will then have access to your ammo stock and reload time

I would advise a backup of the sim file first

Every time I open the Deck Gun GE88mm.GR2 file and merge in the SIM file I get an error message...

You don't have the actor DLL's for the following controller types:

StationController
wpn_Cannon

Please get the appropriate actor DLL's.

Any suggestions? All I want to do is cut my AP shells to 40 and increase my HE by the amount of AP shells I took out.

From the Mod Tools Sticky

* [very important]setting up the GoblinEditor means typing the folder where the sh5.exe is located in the ActorsDirectory property in the Tools\Options window (e.g. K:\Games\Silent Hunter 5). The actors are the .act files in the SilentHunter5 folder and are the ones holding the code for all the controllers.

Note, there are 2 entries in the options window to link in

Sergei this is the BEST example of using the Goblin editor I've seen to date
thank you mate.

There are a few good tutorials on the site I agree but for an old guy like me it really needs to be broken down the way you presented it here.

I really appreciate it mate my sincere thanks.

Ringy.

I actually just copied and pasted the [very important] note from the Mod Tools Sticky. That was written by Urfisch, thanks should go to him.
The screenshot was mine though

Default Ammount of Shells will not Increase

Hi Everybody,

I opened the GR2 file for the 88mm into GoblinEditor and merge the sim file!

I changed the reload time and it works fine!

I also tried to change the ammount of shells in ammo storage, but it won´t work.

also the change to an ammount of 10 shells don´t work.

can anybody give me an advise to solve this problem?

(please excuse any mistakes, because im a german user)
