Default [WIP]IJN Nagato near release

Hi Captains,

the IJN Nagato is near for release !

Some small details must be fixed but we think we can release her until Christmas !

My first thanks goes to the Subsim-User "Modelship" !
He was the builder of the 3 D-Modell.
Thanx for spending this nice ship the SH4/SH3 Community !

My next thanks goes to my Clan- and Moddingmate AOTD|Rhonen.
He constructed this 3D-Modell into a SH4-Dat-file and he makes this ship ready for SH4.

Greets

why did the Japanese use Linoleum on their ships? is there a specific reason or did they just want to join the flooring wave of the future?

I think they initially used it as a no-slip surface that allowed better traction while wet, particularly over steel deck. The trouble is they found out early in the war that it was terribly flammable (linseed oil mixed with wood or cork dust). Many ships had it removed as the war progressed.

So for a late war fit, it could well have been removed, even from the aircraft deck.

Could you make sure that what looks to be the binoculars up on the pagoda have at least one bino/stand as a single object, not connected to the bridge or hull?

That would be SO useful for dolling up the other BBs, and indeed many other ships that had binocular mounts for the watch crew.

Just like it is useful on merchant ships to have the ventilation pipes and masts so we can move them!
