Default [REQ] TDC Maintain data when scope is down

I am good Captain that tries not to leave the scope up when tracking a target. I take the data I need, enter it into the TDC then lower the scope. I try to limit exposure to about 30 seconds or less a peak. This is realistic as to how a real captain would do it and it lowers the chance of the AI spotting you.

The problem, as we all know is that when you put the scope down the TDC loses the identity of the ship, the bearing and if you were in the middle of asking for a speed calculation you've lost that too. So when you put the scope up again you have to get this entered all over again.

Is there a way to make the TDC maintain at least the type of ship and be able to do a "speed calculation" from the XO when the scope is down? ( By this I mean you take several range/bearing readings over a period of time then hit the little clock button on the XO panel that asks him to estimate speed) I do my own speed calculations via timing marks but I like to have the XO confirm if possible.

To make that speed calculation you need:

1) identyfy the ship
2) folow the target
3) enter the range
4) enter the AOB
5) hit the buton and ask navigator to calculate the speed for you

if the range and aob are acurate than the speed will be very acurate also... you not need to waith so long... it is more than enough 30 sec to calculate the speed
