Default see-through water.

I'm going to have a hard time explaining this. So I got a picture to help me.

The Picture above, is a submarine just beneath the surface visible beneath the waterline.

Is there a mod that I can download (or better yet a .cfg file I can edit in notepad) to make my submarine slightly visible underwater at shallow depths?

I've seen videos on the internet such as this one , (skip to 2:20 to see the uboat begin it's dive sequence and give a demonstration of what I am talking about) but I have not had any luck achieving it myself.

Now I am unsure as to whether or not the video I posted is of Silent Hunter 3, but one of the comments says it is so I posted it for good measure. Also whether it is Silent Hunter 3 or not it shows exactly what I would like to see. (just the water, don't care about the boat itself, although the particle effects coming off of it are pretty sweet.)

So.....Can it be done?

Yep. It's called SH4. And 5. The water rendering in SH3 is completely different, and, as far as I know can't be changed.

But I think I recently heard a rumor, so I could be wrong.

For the moment it's pretty much just the water clarity adjustment through Commander....

What game is that video from? I love the debris and vegetation on the ocean bottom!

It looks like Silent Hunter 4 with the U-Boat Missions add on.

I believe that the water clarity only applies to the transparency when the camera is under water. The transparency of the water's surface can't be changed I think.

That's correct...it is.

Yep, SH4. There's no mistaking that distinctive Toolbar.
