See the thing is I fiercely disagree with this whole "Give them a separate section of the city crap simply because it leaves room for extremists to gain power and push the masses in a violent direction.

BUT,

I do not agree with violence in the face of violence. Create laws outlawing this kind of beaviour, and if it persists, then kick them out of the country and back to where they came. Close the borders to stop this from happening. Only if a state of Civil War is created would I condone taking up arms and such.

My theory is, if you're going to immigrate to a country, especially one like Canada and the U.S than you have to assimilate to a certain degree. I agree with keeping a part of your culture and religion. But leave behind the goddam extremism.

I don't mean to beat the 9/11 drum, but either it was not widespread like this or I was just not aware of how bad this was in countries in Europe (are there situations similar to this in North America?). Who changed? Whites/non-Islamics or the Islamics themselves?

After all, the dog's greatest pleasure lies in obeying its master and laying at his feet - that's all freedom it ever desires. And who knows, it even may be a pleasant life.

I'm all for multiculturalism. It's okay for people of like backrounds to congregate together. Chinatown, Greektown, Germantown - these are all names familiar to Americans, and those people brought with them an identity which they should remember and treasure, at the same time they learn the culture of their new home.

But when those enclaves become militant, isolating themselves and making war on those around them, refusing to change or adapt and insisting that those around them adapt to them, then it's time for them to go.

Its housing policy, go to any country with the same policies and you will get the same results no matter what the ethnicity or religions is.

Ballymun over here was always a prime example of a policy manufactured ghetto, there was a report the otherday on the worst craphole in Britian, I was expecting one of the usual list of city dump estates created in land clearances, but in that case it was a little seaside town that used to be full of retired people but is now crammed with people on welfare or on licence.
