I've had a quick search on the ways to calculate the enemy position and manually target them but didn't find anything overly clear and many explanations involved various mods.
So just hoping someone can confirm that my method is right, seems to work so far but only really tested on the slow moving german ships hanging around the harbour. 1. Lock target and ID 2. Calculate range, wait 1 min and calculate again. 3. Estimate speed from 2 range readings. 4. Use compass to mark range. 5. Use ruler to draw my own heading. 6. Calculate AOB using bearing. So bearing of 328 would be -32 (360-328) 7. Use protractor to draw AOB out to the marked range. 8. Point where lines cross is ship position. I imagine I could just do 1,2,3 and 6 if I needed to save time. |
