Default Royal Navy Super Weapon.....

Hi everyone....

since SH5 is still a bugfest and hast only 5 ships to sink, I found my old Sh3 installation with GWX and everything else that really makes it worth something...yesterday I pursued a task force with the Nelson in it, around 5 ships, the Nelson, one cruiser and 3 DDs guarding them.

I observed them for a while unnoticed at night, got their speed and all the data I needed to launch a full salvo of torpedoes towards the nelson, turned and GTFA from there. I watched the stopwatch ticking and looked at my target. Then it happened:

The whole ********* HMS (romulan?) Nelson SUDDENLY DISAPPEARED! My torps went all missing and one hit an escort. The remaining cruiser and DD's began to search for me, I got underwater.....pings, DC's, the usual stuff....

I don't know how to explain this to the OKM.

Yeah, sounds like a despawn. I had a wounded merchant do that on me last month over in the Irish Sea. She had been lagging along at 1 knt all day, and the winds were just dying down enough to mount a deck-gun crew.

I (IRL) went down to make a cup of tea and she had vanished when I came back. No sinking credit, and I find it highly unlikely she just sank.
