Default OT: Sort of. anyone smoke cigars on patrol?

If so, what are you smoking? My favorite is CAO piranha. Very soothing. Just curious.

I smoke camels, and I also can't smoke inside. But if I was going to smoke a cigar while subbing, I'd take a pack of the Old School Clint Eastwood cigars. They're shorties by cigar standards, but make for a good smoke.

This is off-topic of off-topic but I also usually do a little reading at the same time now. I set my patrol route and let it go in real time while I get a few chapters knocked out. When I pick up a contact, I set my intercepts and do a little prep work, then back to the books until I reach the intercept point. Has made for a lot of fun, and the sea/sub noises make for excellent background for reading.

Hell ya! Chateau Fuentes or Fuente Short Storys.

Usually smoking pipes too!

All smoked only out on the wintergarten, by the way.

I still have one each of the CAO Brazilia and Italia in my humidor - both nice smokes too!

Marlboros, outside when wife is around. Whe she´s away tons of marlboros and sometimes camels, Heinekens as well

Btw, I wonder how one could smoke on a u-boat, if one could smoke at all...

I used to love cigars until I quit smoking 7 or 8 years ago. Now, I can't bear the smell of cigarette smoke and even cigar smoke within a 100 feet of me, and that's outside. I tried a cigar after the first couple of years and it was horrible!
