Default Silent Hunter III crashes

I had Silent Hunter III, with GWX 2.0, installed...but it kept crashing as soon as I opened it. It would go through the first Ubisoft thing then it would crash to desktop with the "Silent Hunter III has encountered a problem ..." message. I uninstalled and deleted the folder, just to be safe, and reinstalled SH3, without GWX, but it's doing it again. This is the first time this has happened, does anyone know what the problem is?

Depends on the error

When the pop up appears after CTD click on the blue text " click here "

Problem highlighted below

Thats what I get, and my system specs should be fine, I mean I've run GWX for a while and I'm getting these crashes on both GWX and vanilla.

Certainly not an SH3 dll

I'm running GWX 2.1, in the middle of a mission.
Games loads fine, career loads fine until I see the 'Not so long ago...', then just as I'm about to start, CTD.

Not sure if this will help.

Tried starting a new career, it worked. I guess my saved game is currupt?

May well be corrupt
You could try going back a save or two
Modname unknown - not seen that one before

Nope.

Tried 2-3 previous saves, same crash.

I think my whole career might be scrapped.

I guess some mods make the game unstable...

Default Please help

First, to say hello! I'm new here

Recently i started again new campaign, and so far managed to complete 38 patrols. Now on 39th i was on attack on Gibraltar managed to sunk few capital ships - but while i was causing havock there i noticed few strange things - many smaller ships (destroyers, other escorts and patrol boats) sunk or run aground and few of them just dissapeared while normaly sailing trough the sea! In the end i managed to sneak out, made a save and went to work happily with 90.000+ tons sunked and 8 torpedoes left to finally try to reach 100.000 t.

But when i tryied to load - all went well until 'Not so long ago...' and just before game start it crashes

I'm running game at: Windows 7 (32 bit)/ Pentium Dual Core 2.8 GHz/ 2GB RAM/ ATI Radeon HD 4600 - 1GB

I was reading somewhere (maybe here, can't remember) that when u make a save less than 50 km of some port that u can experience problems when u load - in aware of that i made a 150 km and still cannot load the game.

Can anyone can help, or suggest something? Many thanks in advance!
Best wishes from Croatia!

WELCOME ABOARD!

It's usually better to start a new thread rather than bring back one that is two years old.

There are probably people who can figure out what happened from your copy of the error messages, and they should be along soon. Sorry that I'm not one of them. Just wanted to say "Hi!"
