Default 100%

I admit sometimes I just like to 'play' the game and contacts on is great. It allows you to worry less, and have a much more causal game experience, enjoy the sights and sounds.. and do your thing.

That being said today I had a great 100% patrol.. that just struck me.. its great that we can really scale this sim around on such a whim. I enjoy the carnage of a contacts on patrol.. but there is just something much more gratifying about a 100% torpedo strike, or stalking a convoy for days on just your own measurements... and nothing is more terrifying then being depthcharged and having no IDEA where its all coming from..

with contacts on you can see the tactical map, you know what the destroyers are doing, you see the patterns they run.. but when you escape on nothing but your own instincts and alot of luck (late war) you start feeling pretty good.

So good infact your head swells right up and you go out and get yourself killed on your next patrol because you think your gods gift in the Atlantic.

Haha.. well that last part might just be my problem.
