checking position from radio signals

I am starting to use real navigation how can I check my position from radio signals ,eg 54/39 10/41 is there a tool to overlay to get the minits area 54/10 to pin point my position .

I using the external camera to practise with.

But As the messages are in degrees and minutes I was thinking of ruler in minets not metres so I can placing on a degree line and read the minutes to get my position
