just found out the show is back(in a prequal form though)
If you have not seen Spartacus:Blood and Sand
get it now!
best new show last year (yes, as good/better than the pacific)

I recall hearing it was woefully inaccurate, though I guess historical accuracy is usually too much to ask for these days in any case.

Sex and Violence, nuff said

the story is quite good (only after the first 5 episodes though)
good actors/actresses
wildly exaggerated fight scenes, tons of CGI/slow motion

as for comparing it to Rome, i don't think its possible
S:BaS's fight scenes are extreme, almost cheesy, while the sex is getting better and better
Rome is serious, while Spartacus seems like something you would direct Dowly

don't know if you would like the fighting style though
