Hello,
I have "online saving" turned off. After sinking 5 troops ships (lol) in campaign the sim automatically saved the game, when i was still submerged. Well i know that Silent Hunter has never saved games correctly since Silent Hunter 1, especially when you are submerged. Well they only had 20 (twenty) years to fix that from version 1, so there obviously will be a century gone until someone has the solution, if ever. I know that it it a terrible task for programmers to make a sub simulator where you would be : a) able to save and reload a game when the sub is submerged b) able to save and reload a game when any ships or a harbour is around, because reloading this game will either crash to desktop, or the surface ships would suddenly cruise into the land, fly around, or balance vertically on the shore. c) able to reload the game in the same situation like weather, visibility, target solution and the same ships being around, as when saving the sim. No, not ever possible, ok. So since i know all that i waited some time, surfaced, and saved the sim THEN. TWO TIMES. An hour later. And now guess what ? You cannot reload the sim at that point, all the last three saved games cannot be reloaded - crash to desktop again, again and again. I am meanwhile very good in sinking the ships, but i would really like to know whether this will go on forever like in Bill Murray's "Groundhog day", or if i will ever be released out of this ? Pleeeze ! ![]() Greetings, Catfish |
