John Tiller has opened a new website for fans of his sims, only has 2 games for download after purchase. One is Squad Battles:Modern Wars (Iraq & Afghanistan) and Panzer Campaign Kharkov '43.

Wonder why it seem's there is a split from HPS?

Hmm, interesting. It appears HPS won't publish any new John Tiller games, but they'll continue to support the old ones with updates and eventually make their own games available through digital download.

Well, this is pretty convenient anyway, though I wonder what sort of DRM it has...

I bought "Modern Wars" from him, and it seem's to be comparable to Matrix Games. Have up to 10 times to download, (but could contact JTS to get more) and has a password for installing, again like Matrix!

There's another company he is stepping away from, maybe tired of being the middle man?

Matrix use just a serial number, not online activation of any sort. Once you have burned the download to disk and noted the serial number you are good to go indefinately.
