Default [REL] TMO 2.0 Softer Ticking Chrono

A mod to lower the volume of the Chronometer's ticking sound. The perfect mod for those of you (like me) annoyed by the loud ticking of the Chronometer. This mod may or may not be entirely compatable with installs other than TMO 2.0, so if you want to experiment, make sure you use JSGME or back up the "Sh.sdl" file found in the path "Silent Hunter/Data/Sound"

If requested, it's a simple fix and if the demand is there and we need another version for a different "supermod", I'd be happy to accomodate. Again, this is very simple to do and many here already know how to do this for themselves. However, this has always been a "pet peave" of mine and nobody has ever (to my knowledge) ever offered this fix and after a new install and the need to modify the file over again, finally decided to to share it because I certaintly can't be the only person bothered by the LOUD ticking of the chrono.

It is JSGME ready and can be downloaded here.. http://dc246.4shared.com/download/0F...rono_TMO_20.7z

If Neal allows, I'll add it in the "Downloads" section soon.

Much is repeated, but here is a copy of the readme:

Softer Ticking Chrono for TMO 2.0

This mod lowers the volume of the Chronometer's ticking when running. It is JSGME ready. You can also simply copy and place the 'Sh.sdl" file inside "Silent Hunter/Data/Sound" folder replacing the orginal. Per usual, it is suggested to make a backup copy of your original file first.

I created this mod because the infernal ticking of the Chronometer drove me crazy if used for any length of time. Every time I got annoyed, I was always reminded of Edgar Allen Poe's "The Tell Tale Heart". If you have ever read it, you'll know what I mean! Enjoy!

Well,.. 83 views, 18 downloads, but no comments ... Is this working okay? A little feedback? Just to add a little more info...Iv'e tried to set the volume soft enough so that it's not annoying and heard just barely enough to remain aware it's running. Let me know if you feel the tick may too soft. Thanks!

Sorry - I'm one of the anonymous downloaders. The noise of the chronograph has always been a minor annoyance so I'm happy to have your mod. I haven't had any time for SH4 since I downloaded it but hope to this weekend. Your efforts have not gone unappreciated!
