Say about the French what you will, but they have the balls to stand up if something isn't right.

I thought Ryanair's understanding of an airport just outside Paris was Belgium!

![]() ![]() Ryanair, providing cattle transports since 1985! The same happened in the summer at a flight from Rome till Weeze (Düsseldorf). 3 hours delay, start 5 minutes before midnight so the cheap arseclowns don't have to provide a hotel. In the air the passengers were informed that they land in Hahn (Frankfurt). One hour wait for a bus with a sleepy driver and no toilets. 5 hour ride till Weeze. One 0.5 litre bottle of water for each passenger, provided in Rome. No more drinks (hottest days of the year) no food. No excuses, no compensations till now, lawsuit still pending! **** Ryanair! (didn't happen to me though, I would have plundered the stocks on the plane) |

I've never heard a good word about Ryanair, and I have a good friend who's one of their pilots. Hmmm, was it him I wonder?
EasyJet do flights from about six Moroccan airports to either CDG or Orly, I'd use them over Why-in-air anyday! ![]()

The pilots are certainly the only competent folks who work for them.
EasyJet is a definitely good alternative, or AirBerlin. They treat their passengers at least a little like humans. Ryanair even tries to shut down their critics, like this beautiful website: http://www.ihateryanair.org/ which provides dozens of other funny Ryanair stories. The official reason to shut them down was because they used their good name to earn the fortune of 322 pound with the page ![]() |

Yikes, I keep hearing these relatively nasty stories about low-cost airlines in Europe being extremely inconsiderate with their customers - and that it's really a corporate culture thing, unfortunately.
I've certainly had an experience with a pretty unlucky flight on the big US budget carrier, Southwest (got delayed by hours, then diverted), but I have to hand it to them for keeping it professional and getting us there, even hours late and at a very obvious loss to the company. The policy should always be about the customer. Do your best for them, even at a loss to yourself, and they'll be back with you tomorrow to make it up. Sad how a lot of service providers think that being cheap will be enough to keep bringing people to them ![]() |

I've never flown with them thankfully but the wife and daughter have and they both tell me they are a dreadful airline.

I fly on Ryanair very regularly, and the product is overall excellent for the price paid. Horrific exceptions abound.
Example, this afternoon I flew from Dublin to Eindhoven for €25. The flight was uneventful and uncomfortable. I end up travelling rather a lot, and the highest fare I've paid on a Ryanair flight this year has been £34, which I found to be rather a lot. Now, you get screwed on certain things - airports can be difficult to get to and very pricey to use, the comfort levels on the aircraft are rock-bottom (pun intended), and the scheduling can be abysmal. But if you're paying less than €20 for the privilege, then cease and desist mit zer grumping ![]() I fly Aer Lingus and BA a lot as well, and they've consistently had better service, more convenient flights, and higher fares. Not always massively higher, but never lower. I always prefer to fly Aer Lingus, but it's just not possible.

You get what you pay for, I suppose.

If I want a decent flight to a specific locations where such luxuries as having baggage are included then I go on a proper airline and pay a proper price |

Just booked to Vienna with Air Berlin and Aer Lingus for the end of December. Thought I was getting ripped off, checked Ryanair to Bratislava instead, €5 in the difference. Busy time I guess
