Introductory
Have you been on the internet? If yes, than you would almost definitely have been influenced by a troll. Trolls are an eternal part of the internet. However, Trolls have become increasingly common in the physical world too! Please read on if you would like to understand the troll culture, which is the peak of human civilization.

This is the basics theories of trolls
however, more advanced concepts have been introduced during the past years

Advanced troll types

Deception troll
deception trolls are trolls that act normal, until the environment is ideal for trolling operations. They could be your friend, your wife, or your dog. Deception trolls show no troll characteristic. These trolls are almost everywhere, waiting for the right conditions to strike....

Moderator troll
These are moderators that moderate forums and BBSs, they have fallen to the dark side, and have taken up the art of trolling. Moderator trolls are commonly the most dangerous trolls. As the saying goes. "if you can't beat them, join them" these trolls are past moderators that have had their soul corrupted and have joined the ranks of the trolls. These trolls are the most fearful, since they commend a large amount of respect, and they have the most experience on the internet.

Hacker trolls
Hacker trolls will troll you first, if that doesn't succeed, they would steal your account and use it to troll others. We all know that, just like how Arnold Schwarzenegger can't sing, master trolls can't be master hackers at the same time. However, master trolls have time and most of us have simple passwords, they would go through everything you have ever said, and use it to guess your password.

Female trolls
Most trolls are men, Female trolls are quite rare. They are a gem, worthy of preservation and cultivation. NEVER have a romantic or sexual relationship with one.

Hired Commentates
Hired commentates are professionals, their expertise is to manipulate public opinion through the internet. The most well know type of internet commentates are probably the Chinese 50 cent party. The 50 cent party are a group of trolls who bump and post threads that support the views of the China Communist Party.


The state of the internet in the late 80s
The 80s were a great time for progress. The First BBS systems were being created. At the time, internet speeds were painfully slow. And many early BBS systems didn't even have a moderator. Trolling at this time was only limited by the BBS systems and the slow internet speed.
Internet speed at the time was still lower than 56kb/s so there were no forums attachments. a dedicated troll at the time could easily bring down a BBS. However, the troll would need extreme amounts of dedication and patience. Something that most trolls today don't have.
Moderators at the time were generally also system administrators, and moderating was painful.
Trolls of the time did not have much influence. since not many people had access to the internet. The late 80s were the pre windows, pre pentium, and pre IE age, and the internet in general had little influence over peoples lives.

Oh BTW liked the history lesson However, I feel the need to put to your attention that trolls are not merely featured in either the Poetic or Prose Edda, but in many other Old Norse manuscripts as well. Any resemblance to and relation with Vikings is purely coincidental. Trolls and vikings are from different races even: a viking is merely a Human, whereas a troll is a Jötunn.
Also I would like to address the issue that vikings are projected as being wild savages destroying and pillaging everything they come across. Historical evidence clearly shows this is not the case, and I'm disappointed with your obvious lack of intelligence for not knowing that.
