I haven't been in a clan since C&C Tiberian Sun. Back then we had websites for the clans. Yours got one? Might help people to make up their minds one way or the other.

I haven't been in any sort of clan since I used to play Star Trek: Armada II online, back when I was... 12?

Unless you count guilds and such in MMOs.

Never was. I guess I'm just not a team player.

Yes, wolf-pack. I never understood why 'clan' was used to describe a group of people working together for a common goal (concerning games/sims). When it is a flight sim it should be a squadron. For vessels it is a fleet. Whenever I hear clan I think, 'Clan of the Cave Bears." Now Tanks of the World MMO is out in beta testing and they are pushing the idea of clans and using just that word.

@AVG

That's what most games do, IL2 clans are called squadrons, WWIIOL clans are squads, RPG clans are usually called guilds, Eve online "clans" are corporations etc.

But people ask me to join their clans. That's the thing. I join squadrons and fleets. Not clans. There are just somethings in life I will not grasp the understanding of.

This is what I think of when I hear the word 'clans'
