Default new player having trouble getting mods to work

Hello all,

I downloaded SH5 today from Steam.

I also downloaded the Generic Mod Enabler to get the german crew speach mod flag mod and the halo spech bubbel mod amongst others.

After getting the Mod folder into the SH5 main folder i inserted the mods and enabled them.

But everytime I satrt the game up no mods look to be active at all.

I first had the SH5 installed in the documents folder and later copied it and all mods to the Ubisoft folder to try to see if that was the trouble. To no avail.

Is it Steam that is causing the problem or something else?

Hope you guys can help a starting player out because i dont want to begin playing without the nice mods en German crew speaking perfect English

After you first launch JSGME and it creates MODS folder in your game installation folder, and after you copy your mods into that folder, you need to launch JSGME again and activate the mods. Then they will work as intended.

EDIT:
It is a common mistake to have your mods "double folded". Check it. If any mod folder tree looks like:
__MODS
____Mod_name
______Mod_name
________data and so on
it's wrong.

It needs to look like:
__MODS
____Mod_name
______data and so on

Ot's described in detail in JSGME help files.

Unzip the application then move the Gme icon to your folder . Then double click on the Gme icon and it will make a folder called MODS in C:\Ubisoft\Silent Hunter 5 game folder . Put the mods in here then enable .

Its still not working for me.

Im thinking it has something to do that it will only start through the Steam aplication. Im making different screen shots now how i installed everything and will post those when im done with it and done fidling around some more.

For ease of checking to see if the mods are working im using the no Logo no Intro menu mod as that takes the shortest time.

UEREKA moment!

I found out how to get to work in Steam.

here it is for the future.

The standard game files are stored somewhere in your Steam folder.

My computer > Local Disk *(C): > Program Files (x86) > Steam > steamapps > common > Silent hunter 5!!!

Get your mods folder set up there

i installed the GME directly to the Silent hunter 5 folder.

Let the happy times start!
