Default Vanishing Depth Charges?

So I noticed last night while on my first real career patrol that as I watched in free cam the Depth Charges dissappeared after what seemed to pass about 20 or 30 m. Does anybody else have this?? I did hear explosions and saw them on the surface but I did not see them underwater. Ive never had this happen before and am just wondering if this is a small glitch in the game now or if I enabled a mod that conflicted it?? Im going to test this out soon to see if it was just my graphics card goofing or Im really having vanishing DCs.

I don't know. Of course the glib answer is "Don't use external views". I like to use them in harbors or for screenshots, but when in combat it's much more nerve-wracking to not know what's coming.

DC's are small and hard to see, can easily be mistook for bubbles

I was wondering if maybe the limited visibility underwater would make them impossible to see below a certain depth anyway. Especially considering they're not that big.

Seems like I have better visibility underwater with the enviro mod I use, but before that with just GWX I think I remember wondering why the event cam would go below the surface to show me a ship going down, because once it got very far under I couldn't really see much of anything.

No I can normally see them at the depth theyre vanishing from, there is no underwater explosion either, just one above water and a sound.

Sinking ships also vanish. I've used the free view to follow a ship downwards [boy do they go fast at a certain point] and they simply disappear before visibilty grows too dark to see them.

Yeah but Ive never had this happen before even with GWX. I could always watch the DC go down and explode. and your right some ships sink incredibly fast, once they get to it though, I watched a ship list for 5 hours and once its stern got under water it turned up and sank like a rock in less than 5 minutes in game time
