Helpp ??

Okay guys. so happy my game finally arrived however I need some help!!..
after even searches I still cant find the Mods that I want so any help in directing me to the right mods would be greatly appreciated..
Also!
Patches. I bought the game brand new off amazon. so do I need to patch the game still? or since it is brand new will it come with the patches already in it??

Second. The mods I am looking for are

SH3 Commander,
GWX 3.0
JSGME (I believe comes with GWX)
and a realistic damage mod? as well as one that changes the water to sh5 qaulity?? ( i believe Id seen this somewhere.)

PS: hell after even playing the stock version im impressed. my first orders were to patrol grid AF81!

GWX3 comes with the option to activate many mods through JGSME, one being the damage mod.

i dont think you have to patch it.

Thanks Im already loving this game even the stock version. the realistic aspect is nice. especially sailing out of port with the band playing. I will def post screenies with my first kill i am however on auto targeting yet

once you get the tactics of positioning down, be sure to learn manual targeting. makes the game a lot more challenging, and thus more rewarding. read the GWX manual, it helped me and a lot of players a lot, its also interesting! 600 pages but not a single one is filler, its all fun to read. good luck!

oh and I forgot to mention, if bernard is on watch, and hes the last one down before a dive, check the hatch yourself, he leaves it open sometimes.

With GWX do I have to download each of the multi part?? or just the last one? cuz there is 3.1 3.2 3.3 and so on

All of it, unless you get the huge 'All-In-One' version. The best way to guarantee an uncorrupted download is to find any post by Jimbuna and download it from his sig link.

Bernard?? lol oh another question how can I mod the look of my ship?? I basically all I really need for now is emblems on my conning tower

And i went to Jimbunas page and found them but which am i supposed to download?? theres so many gwx things :O

EDIT: Alright, so on my third patrol now with no ship sightings. Im confused here. I see ships pop up on my map and they just stay there.. then I set a course for them and nothings there.. 3 patrols in and I havent sunk a single thing. any help would be great guys. thanks.. any general tips would be great too . and since GWX is such a huge mod, is it gonna make the game run at a slower FPS?? let me know please. thanks

If a report comes in of a ship at say 0800, and it takes you two hours to arrive, the ship will also be two hours away but remains in it's original map marking for some time - until it's well away or you and your crew have spotted it for yourselves.

GWX is a bit more intense on your system than stock, would need to know your system specs before we could make much more of a comment. Shift+F8 (or it could be Ctrl?) shows your FPS.

I figured out why i kept missing ships when I found an illistration on here on how to manually target. as far as specs. its not a great comp. at least for gaming. My CPU is dual core I think but the Graphics unit needs an upgrade. something I hope to get since I did buy SH5 too and may as well play it lol :P but im running 60 fps right now. up to 70 i think and Im in a pretty nasty storm at the moment..

60-70 FPS is very playable. SH3 is (I could get slated for this if I'm wrong) more processor/ram hungry than GPU - ram is relatively cheap too for the all round good it does. That said, a better GPU may be needed when you get round to playing 4/5, you'll need to know if your power supply can handle a newer card.

How would I find that out?? and ram isnt a problem Ive got plenty lol I am experiencing some GPU problems though I think. the water doesnt seem reflective like it is supposed to be??
