Default Radar question.. quite dumb..

Alright, first off, hello I'm Greg and this is my first post on this forum

To the point, my radar won't pick up anything even if I do a 360 degree spin while I KNOW that there are enemies in the vicinity.

Any idea why?

Are you sure youve had radar installed? radar only comes somewhere in early 1942.

It works but it doesn't detect anything.

by "work" what do you mean? you have that fumo 29 radar installed on your boat? if so, then consider this: it only detects at around a 70-ish degree radius around the bow of your boat. it also detects surface ships less effectively. also you obviously (right?) know that when its on the screen shows a green line running htrough it and a sclae at the bottom.

just remember radar doesnt have a 360 radius unless you get a radar on a swivel like the KDB hydrophone.

I was playing the historical mission with the Italians.. using radar there, might be it.

I shall try again, thanks.

/e

Might have found the problem, limited radar range and radius... bleh >.>
